Only place for fried calms in SF
Finally! I don't have to travel back to New England to get my fried clam fix.

The wharf finally comes to the Castro
Its simple. The food is great. The portions are huge which makes up for the slightly high price, but hey this is San Francisco. Seems to be a family owned place and they are very nice and happy to be in the neighborhood. With a nice bright atmosphere and old movies playing in the window this place is very nice to bring a date or friends; or just get a nice platter of sea food. If you like the famous Swans of SF, then you will love the Woodhouse. The fish and chips are amazing and the artichoke dish is a wonderful taste of spring. This is also a new resturant so you better get a taste before it becomes too popular. I can imagine a line out the door because it only sits about 45 or so people. They will soon be open for lunch!
