This used to be one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants to eat-in as well as for take out. However, I recently placed a takeout order and noticed the portions had significantly downsized. I ordered a bun/noodle salad and was very disappointed. The quality of the food remains tasty but I was very surprised after opening up the take out container to find a palm sized portion of vermicelli with 2-3 small pieces of meat, dime sized portion of carrots, possibly 3 chopped up pieces of tiny lettuce leaves. The entire meal was consumed in less than 8 bites. This order reminded me of child size portions on a kids menu. Yet their prices continue to reflect adult sized meal despite their significant portion downsizing. My friend had mentioned similar experience with his takeout order recently and I didn't believe him because I had been eating at this restaurant for years and always had great experience up until now. This is how businesses lose loyal customers. The owners are very short sighted to think that saving portions worth less than a dollar on a meal is worth losing hundreds of dollars that a single customers can't bring in each year. This experience left a bad taste in my mouth and I probably won't return again. This is SF and there are lots of other great Vietnamese restaurants to choose from that doesn't try to rip off their customers. I bet the owners here think they are being slick but it's actually very poor business practice. I will be warning all of my friends, family , and colleagues about this place do they won't get ripped off like I did.

My friend and I ate at Yummy Yummy for the first time last Thursday, 8/7/14. In addition to our Appetizers, we ordered Bun #26 and it was so delicious. I couldn't finish all of mine, so I asked for a take home container. It was my dinner the next day. It was mouth-watering good, even cold. This will be my Go-To restaurant at least once a week from now on. This Restaurant is not named Yummy Yummy without good justification. Restaurant and restrooms are very clean and the owner and staff are very friendly. Paige

Fantastic food, caring service. Pho Ga Quay Chao 5 spice chicken was different than I have ever had before and delicious. Just be forewarned that it maybe a beef stock rather than chicken (found on online menu afterwards. Not listed as such on regular menu). Salt and pepper crab was also delicious and so well prepared it almost didn't require tools. A little bright and noisy but not anywhere over the top. Bon appetit!

i lived closer to the restaurant. i'd eat here all the time if i did. i've only been here once (so far), so i can't vouch for their pho or rice noodle dishes. but i can say that their grilled pork rice plate (with an egg, of course) is really tasty. same goes for their imperial rolls. they're unlike any egg rolls i've eaten before (that's a good thing). i would've been happy just eating those for lunch. anyway, if you're in the area, give this place a try....

I've lived in boston, los angeles, san francisco, and new york and tried every vietnamese restaurant i can find in each city. yummy yummy is by far my favorite. the meat is always fresh and the veggies cooked to perfection. the pho broth is unbeatable. the friendly owners and staff treat you like family as soon as you walk through the door. you might even get a high five from the man him self!
