For a quick good dinner!
I love the food! My favorite is the rack of lamb, the appetizers all of them are great and my favorite desert is pancho. Love the service.

Answer to Jade.
This email is for Jade, "no paella por favor." I am from Spain and I have spent my whole life eating Paella, and if say that this paella is bad you have no clue about what paella is. This is the most authentic place I've ever found in the US.

No Paella, Por Favor
Outstanding tapas. Good service. However, avoid the Paella. I grew up eating the real thing and Zarzuela's Paella leaves a lot to be desired. It was undercooked and bland. Reminded me of Uncle Ben's with some boiled seafood thrown in. Otherwise, a good dining experience. Buen Provecho!

Wonderfully Authentic Tapas
Luckily we live on Russian Hill, a block away from Zarzuela, so we can drop in when we feel like it. The wait staff are amazing, the host (Andy) is always charming, and we love the food. I lived in Spain years ago and going to Zarzuela always brings me back to it. Enjoy!

OK, but not amazing
With my girlfriend we were looking for a romantic tapas place, the name sounded nice. Food was good, but not amazing at all + portions were small, too small for the price (about $8 for each tapas), the lamb dish, was $8 for 2 minuscule skewers. The atmosphere was OK, but not romantic, I think it's a good place for a group but not just a couple...

Fantastico
Closest thing to the real thing in Madrid or Barcelona.... a little noisy because it is small and crowded tables...too close to one another but well worth it.
